HAKUSHIN MALPENSA (8) brings the clearest last-start authority after winning by five lengths over 1600m at Mizusawa as a well-supported favourite, and her prior third at Morioka Dirt reads well enough to suggest that was no one-off. The step to 1900m is the main question, but she sets the standard. YAMANO MATAKA (2) is the danger after scoring here over 1600m at generous odds, with a strong Mizusawa record adding substance despite the rise in trip. ISANA (1) was costly as a short odds-on favourite when third over 1400m, though his B1 run two back gives him a class reference that keeps him firmly in play. EL PROFESSOR (10) has mixed form lines, winning over 1600m two back before placing over 850m, so the 1900m test is the issue, but she is capable of running into the money.
