COURS MIRABEAU (4) sets the standard after winning the Listed Meitetsu Hai over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt by three and a half lengths, having already run second to Realest at Tokyo Dirt the start prior. His record at this distance is a major asset and he looks the most complete winning case. SHIN BELIEVE (9) is the clear danger, coming off a neck win in a 3yo+ ALLOW at Chukyo Dirt after a narrow second at Kokura Dirt, though the rise to 2100m is the question he has to answer. OUTRANGE (1) brings solid recent form, including a second to Mikki Fight at Ohi and a Nagoya win over Odilon, with barrier one helping offset the 59kg impost. MERRY CHRISTMAS (3) has G3 Heian Stakes depth and a solid Fukushima Dirt placing, but the new trip keeps him slightly below the top pair.

With solid distance credentials, he has a strong winning profile. |

The 2100m is new ground, but the quality of the recent form keeps him in the minor-money mix. |

The jockey combination is reliable and he has placed at this distance, but the fresh gap and need to turn the tables on Outrange temper the winning case. |
