TAKAICHI ASCOT (8) brings the clearest winning platform after breaking through at Funabashi over 1200m, beating Immaculate by two lengths after getting clear and holding the race safely. The rise to 1400m is the obvious new test, but the fresh win gives her form more substance than most of these. SOPRANO TOUCH (6) is still a maiden after 16 starts, yet her third here two runs back behind Hiro Shige Crystal reads well enough for a race of this depth, and she has placed at both the track and trip. TRINITARIANISM (3) has to rebound from a plain Kawasaki ninth, but his previous second at Urawa and a one win, five places from ten starts track-and-distance record keep him right in the argument. ICE FIELD (10) is harder to trust for win purposes, being a 23-start maiden, though his fifth here two back after finishing off from a hopeless spot gives him a realistic minor-money profile if he sharpens from the latest run.
