ECOR DUNES (5) looks the most reliable of the main chances after finishing second to Kitano Dia in a 3yo+ C2 over 1400m at Kanazawa, beaten three lengths after travelling in a prominent spot. He was a short odds-on favourite there, so the failure to win is a query, but his overall profile at the distance is sound enough for this. CONTI MACARON (10) is harder to assess because the latest run was poor, yet she has a Kanazawa 1400m win on the page and has been kept safe in recent markets. REWARD LUTIN (4) also brings a track-and-trip win and was favourite last start, though she must finish off better than she did when sixth behind One More Chance. B B BUILDER (7) comes through the sharpest last-start result, having won a 3yo+ C2 by seven lengths from Namura Darius, but this C1 assignment asks him to repeat that effort against deeper opposition.
