Strong tempo assured with Flower Stella, Koyukichan and Kind Of You rolling to the front. BOVENOP STAAN (8) has the most appealing profile among the main chances, with two placings from three starts and a last-start third behind Full Vogue after being sent out a well-supported favourite. The poor run two back is the blemish, but his Mombetsu 1200m record gives him a solid platform. FLOWER STELLA (11) returns from six weeks off and brings consecutive thirds, though she was beaten as a very short odds-on favourite last time and has the 1200m query to answer. KIND OF YOU (4) has been consistent enough this campaign and already has recent form around Bovenop Staan, but must turn a last-start fourth into something sharper. SEIRAN KUROFUNE (3) was the eye-catcher when second to Full Vogue and is proven at this track and distance, so she appeals as the best closer if the principals leave the door open.
