Pace only fair with Frosted Amber rolling to the lead ahead of Illusive Dream and Inzain Baby. In a thin form race FROSTED AMBER (4) is clearly on top. Progressed nicely last start when facing the starter for just the second time, driving hard late only to be beaten a long neck over this trip at Wangaratta. If she holds that form she will take care of these. INZAIN BABY (5) debuted under Bjorn Baker on 23 December at Bathurst but failed to live up to market expectations. Now in the Mick Travers yard and given the lack of depth to this race he gets a chance to make amends. CASTLEBAY (6) is a Highland Reel filly on debut for the Ledger stable. Went well in a trial here on 19 January and looks ready to make a positive start to her career. DANTAINS PRIZE (11) resumes. Was rarely far away last prep but she is now 13 without a win which is a worry. Each-way hope while fresh. MIDNIGHT EAGLE (2) was poor first-up at Wangaratta but he returned a good figure at his only other run back in August at Wodonga. Might surprise. SUGGESTED PLAY: Frosted Amber to win.
