Black Olympia, Say Cute and Meisho Narukami can set a genuine tempo. BLACK OLYMPIA (2) was well fancied when resuming but found one better at Niigata, finishing 1.75 lengths adrift at the end of 2200m. The start prior placed in the Grade 2 Derby trial. In the placings at each run over this longer journey. Expected to go very well. VIP WOLF (1) was a winner over 2200m at Chukyo last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by a nose. M Demuro who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Expecting a bold showing. SAY CUTE (11) returns from a layoff of six months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 2400m at this track. Goes well course and distance. Looks a strong top-three prospect. MEDITERRANEAN (7) is back from a spell of three-and-a-half months after closing last prep with two straight minor placings. Boasts a fine strike-rate when fresh from a break. One of the contenders.
