A solid tempo on the cards with Performer taking charge. SIERRA LEONE (4) took a while to win her maiden as a 3YO last season, but wasted no time in getting off the mark this prep when winning easily fresh up at Awapuni-synthetic 4 weeks ago. She has always promised to be a good mare, and she can now work her way right through the grades. On top again. PERFORMER (3) capped off some good form with her first win third up at New Plymouth, when leading all the way on a heavy track to score by an impressive 3 lengths. He has the pole position here, and should again take some pegging back. LUMINANCE (11) has been racing consistently through the winter, and deserves a winning turn. Stick with her. STEWART (2) is a talented gelding who does not always try his hardest. He resumes from a spell, and it would be worth following any market confidence. PINKY PIE (8) is back in form, and another honest effort is on the cards. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sierra Leone can win this.
