SOUND JETE (1) has the most compelling last-start profile, having resumed at Saga with a dominant seven-length win as favourite and she is lightly raced enough to keep improving. The sharp turnaround from a well-beaten Hanshin Dirt run to that local win is the key form swing, but the latest evidence is hard to ignore. BI SILENT (5) is the obvious danger after successive Saga wins, the latest by a neck as a prohibitive odds-on favourite, and her perfect local record with Shinsuke Ishikawa adds weight to the case. ESPLANADE (7) has not converted market respect into wins, yet her 51kg and repeated placings at this track and distance keep her firmly in the contest if she lifts off her latest seventh. SMART PIRKA (4) is more of a value danger, with a Saga win two back and enough track-and-trip grounding to rebound from a plain last-start eighth.
