Genuine tempo with Lucky Brook to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. Siding with the upside of OVER THE BRIDGE (12) who made a very good impression on debut at Bendigo, running very fast overall time backed up by some great late splits. She won by two lengths there with huge gaps back through the field and out to 1200m she can settle just off the pace. CHAYAN (2) is the tricky one. She's the expensive filly who did plenty right as a 2yo, winning the G2 Reisling Stakes before running midfield in the Golden Slipper. She was just fair fresh in the G2 Furious when wide but this suits and McDonald helps offset the tough gate. JADZIA (8) had always shown ability and made a good thing of the maiden first up at Ballarat Synthetic, bolting in at $1.35. Steps up here but she can measure up at double figures. SUNBLISS (10) was very good from the back when second to Tales Of Time fresh and that form should hold up in the opener. CALAMARI RING (3) ran on well in the G3 Cap D'Antibes at Flemington which is good form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Over The Bridge & Jadzia at the prices.
