FANTASMA (2) brings the most persuasive recent performance after running second here six days ago, beaten a length and a half by S C Yamato after being run down late as favourite. He was only fair two back, but the quick rebound and proven Mizusawa form make him the one to beat despite the distance query. AILES VAGUE (1) has not been finishing strongly enough, yet her fifth to Taisei Adamas reads better than most of the field and she has a stronger track-and-distance profile than many. EVIDENTIA (9) has been near the top of betting at his past two and twice finished fourth here, so he remains a genuine threat if he finds a better final effort. D FANKS (6) is harder to back to win after a plain last start, but his Morioka Dirt fourth two runs ago and light weight keep him in the minor-money conversation.

The counterpoint is her one win and six places from 18 attempts at this track and distance. That record gives her a minor-money case, but she must show far more early interest. |
