Not much early pressure but Wonder Irone, Ten Time Top and Kogyoku can take up forward spots. CONEY ISLAND (10) is a promising galloper who resumes from a break. Last raced when third over 2000m at this track three-and-a-half months ago which was the only run of that prep. Has won when fresh from a spell in the past. Winning rider Yuga Kawada stays aboard. Should be hard to stop. BIRTHDAY FLIGHT (12) finds it hard to win with just one success from 11 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 1600m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. Likely contender with strong prospects. DARLING DARLING (3) went to the paddock after scoring at her only appearance last prep three-and-a-half months ago over 1800m at Hakodate. Definite top-three chance. EMBEKKE (9) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1600m at Chukyo. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
