They should run this along at a generous pace with Our Edwardo and Asher pressing on coupled with a few unknowns on the map. OUR EDWARDO (3) is a 4YO gelding resuming from a spell, and he has been given plenty of time to mature, as is normally the case with his breed. He ended his initial prep with a close up second at New Plymouth in June, and should kick this season off on a positive note. Follow any money trails. POROTENE TIGER (2) made progress last season without looking like he would win a race, and he should be a lot stronger now. He has been tuned up with a nice trial win at Foxton, and should be ready to rumble fresh. BORROWED TIME (1) is another promising gelding resuming from a spell after showing consistent form last season. He looked in good condition when winning a recent trial at Foxton, and if this trip is not already too short for him, he can have a say in the finish. ASHER (7) drove hard late and just missed out in scoring at Hastings 15 days ago by a short head. She is peaking now, and can go one better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Our Edwardo each way.
