EMERALD TESORO (3) has the sharper local reference, finishing fourth here to Satono Trinity and beating Star Plane in that same recent comparison, though her Morioka Dirt failure the run prior keeps the confidence measured. STAR PLANE (9) has the most consistent place profile among the main dangers, with a Morioka Dirt third to Bee Stunning and a workable distance record, but he must rebound from a sixth here when beaten over 12 lengths. PILSNER (5) is the fourth selection and looks more a minor-money threat, with her Morioka Dirt fifth stronger than her latest Mizusawa run and the 1400m record still a genuine query.
