Genuine tempo from Nekoni Kotatsu leading Livre Wonder. PENSEE (8) sets the standard after consecutive thirds, the latest a long-neck defeat here when sent out odds-on favourite. He does have to convert that consistency into a win, but the recent form is clearly the most reliable in the race. NEKONI KOTATSU (7) is the immediate threat after being beaten only a neck by Wanaka here last start, and her strong run of placings at this track and distance keeps her right in the argument. LIVRE WONDER (5) is harder to line up after two plain defeats, yet the class-drop profile and Shinobu Murakami booking keep him in the winning mix if he rebounds sharply. BIG RYUO (9) brings the steadier place profile, having run fourth behind Wanaka after a Morioka Dirt second, and he looks the value danger rather than the one to beat.

The 1400m still carries a query, but that prior win gives him enough substance to be a genuine minor-money hope. |

Four wins at the distance are a positive, but he must turn solid closing work into a more telling result. |

The positive is the class-drop setup and the booking of Shinobu Murakami, so a rebound is possible, but he must put those two defeats behind him quickly. |
