Aemond, Come Together and Gin Twist to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. Manikato Stakes day on a Sunday at Caulfield and AEMOND (9) looks a nice way to open the card on an each way basis. He looked very good winning on debut at Bendigo over this trip, ridden aggressively and giving nothing else a look to score by four lengths. Imagine he'll get over a bit further but he gets in on the minimum from a good draw and is double figures in early betting. Very wary of the flashy TALES OF TIME (5) who has won his past two, resuming with an eye catching win at Sandown Hillside with 61kg and coming from near-last off a slow speed. Sectionals there say he's right up to some good races. SMOKY KITCHEN (12) won well on debut and can measure up. JACARANDA (10) perhaps next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Aemond, saving Tales Of Time.
