Expecting Beryl Sphere to take up the running with Bizantino and Rising Hearth close at hand. BERYL SPHERE (6) brings the strongest recent profile after a four-length win at Saga and has the track-and-distance record to back it up, with two wins and one placing from three tries at the course and trip. RISING HEARTH (12) is the clear danger on his win two back, when he scored by six lengths, but he must rebound from a plain ninth last time when beaten just over nine lengths. POP THUNDER (8) is knocking on the door after a second here and has the placing consistency to be dangerous, although the maiden record keeps her from being a completely reliable win play. DRIFT WOOD (5) was beaten only a long neck at Saga last start and appeals as the value runner among the main chances, but he also has a modest winning strike rate. Beryl Sphere has the cleanest set-up; Rising Hearth and Pop Thunder are the main threats if they bring their better form.
