Race 9 1600m Track: SOFT |

|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Expecting Last Love Love to take up the running with Hutan Beat and By A Horn close at hand. LAST LOVE LOVE (1) sets the standard after winning a 3yo COND over 1600m at Ohi by two and a half lengths as a well-supported favourite, and her previous second when beaten just under a length gives the form a solid recent base. HUTAN BEAT (9) is the hardest to price with confidence after finishing last, beaten just under nine lengths, but the class drop and her repeated track-and-distance placings keep her in the winning conversation if she rebounds. ASHANINKA (6) brings honest Ohi form, having run fourth at her past two starts, with the run two back over 1400m beaten just over a length particularly sound; the new 1600m test is the query. TIERED (5) has the best track-and-distance profile of the dangers, with two wins and three places from six, though she must improve off a plain fresh run.

LAST LOVE LOVE
TOMOHIRO ARAI 3YO BAY FILLY 53.0KG Returns from a one-month freshening after making all in a 3yo COND over 1600m at Ohi, beating Dear More by two and a half lengths as a well-supported favourite. She had also led and was only run down late by Self Ace here on a fast track the run prior. Proven at this track and distance and drawn barrier 1, she brings the cleanest winning profile if she repeats that last-start authority. |

DEAR MORE
NAYA KAZUHISA 3YO DK B FILLY 53.0KG Worked home fairly from a long way back when fifth at Ohi last start, but she was beaten seven lengths and went around at big odds. Her previous second to Last Love Love in a 3yo COND reads better, yet that still left a two and a half length gap to a key rival. With no win from 11 starts at this track and distance, she needs a sharper mile performance. |

HABOTAN
KAZUYA OMIYA 3YO BAY FILLY 53.0KG Resumed with a seventh in a 3yo+ C1C2 over 1400m at Ohi, beaten just under five lengths at long odds after making ground from well back. She had finished fifth in a 3yo COND here before the break, also from a big price. The extra trip is a genuine question, with two unplaced runs at the distance, so others make stronger appeal. |

YOU HINATA
YORIAKI MURAKAMI 6YO GREY MARE 51.0KG Closed off from the rear for fourth at Ohi last start, beaten two and a half lengths, and her previous fifth here was only three lengths away after picking up nicely in the straight. She has one win and 15 places from 38 starts at this track and distance, so the profile is more honest than dominant. The light weight helps her minor-money case. |

TIERED
KAZUNOBU SUDA 5YO BAY MARE 54.0KG Kazumi Yoshida Returns from a two-month break after finishing sixth over 1400m at Ohi, beaten just under three lengths when lacking a change of gears late. Her earlier third in 3yo+ B3 company was sound enough, and the key attraction is the return to a course-and-distance record of two wins and three places from six. She can improve into the money if sharper second-up. |

ASHANINKA
HIDEYO YONEDA 5YO BROWN MARE 54.0KG Returns from a five-week freshening after a fourth over 1200m at Ohi, beaten five and a half lengths after settling rearward. Her previous fourth over 1400m here was stronger, closing to be beaten just over a length at generous odds. Three Ohi wins give her local credibility, but the rise to 1600m for the first time is the point she must answer. |

DERMA UCHIGAKE
KEIYUKI SUZUKI 6YO DK B MARE 54.0KG Was second last over 1400m at Ohi last start, beaten over 14 lengths after giving away a big start and never getting into the race. The start prior she was second in 3yo+ C2 company, but the ten-length margin took the shine off it. Her track-and-distance record is respectable, yet recent form says she must lift sharply. |

BUZZUTCHI
KENJI TSUKIOKA 6YO GREY MARE 54.0KG Hiroya Takahashi Produced her best recent effort when third at Ohi last start, beaten two lengths after finishing strongly from long odds. That was a clear lift on her previous eighth, where she came under pressure late and was beaten just under nine lengths. Her record with Genki Fujimoto is sound, but the distance query keeps her in the place bracket. |

HUTAN BEAT
YORIAKI MURAKAMI 4YO DK B FILLY 54.0KG Second-up after finishing last at Ohi, beaten just under nine lengths, when under pressure late despite being near the top of an open market. Her previous 3yo+ B3 run was also plain, but the class drop and a record of five placings from 11 at this track and distance give her a better case than the form figures suggest. She can rebound if her on-pace pattern is restored cleanly. |

BY A HORN
KENJI TSUKIOKA 4YO BAY FILLY 54.0KG Finished sixth in a 3yo+ C1C2 over 1400m at Ohi last start, beaten four and a half lengths from big odds after settling rearward. She was tenth over 1200m here the run before and again offered limited late resistance. Wada Joji is a positive booking, but the mile query and thin track-distance record leave her with work to do. |
