Expecting Margot to take up the running with Sudare and Okeani Di Mare close at hand. MOUNTAIN TOP (1) sets the standard after resuming with a sound second here, beaten a length and a half by Promessa Reza, and the drop back to 1000m looks far more suitable than the 1200m failure two runs ago. SKIP STONE (6) is the immediate danger, having finished fourth in that same Promessa Reza race after a placing the start before, though he has had six chances and still needs to find a stronger final 100m. PERFECT NIGHT (2) has placed twice from three starts and her two attempts at this distance have both produced placings, so she has the right profile to rebound from a fair fifth. SUDARE (10) brings the best near-miss, beaten half a length two back, and his latest fourth was sound enough, but he has drawn wider and the 1000m remains the test.

That was a clear turnaround on his previous 1200m failure when last behind Pitagora and beaten nine and a half lengths. Back at 1000m and second-up, he has the most persuasive recent platform in this field. |

Her start prior was a third behind Ersetu, and although she lacked a sharp change-up there, she has placed in both attempts at this distance. Race fitness and the class drop keep her right in the winning mix. |
