GOING: G(4)

Vale Barry Larter Class 1 Hcp 1100m

Track: GOOD4   Clouds (Max: 14)   Rail: +5m Entire. (Pent: 4.58)

Expecting Just Plain Nuts to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. DISSALTO (7) is a former Victorian who had his first Tassie start on the synthetic at Devonport and ran very well, finishing third. Better for it and has two wins on the turf. Tricky gate but expected to go close again. ALFARINO (1) returned from a long break in maiden class at Hobart and after getting back wound up strongly to score. Fitter and can go on with it. OUR PEPMENARTIE (4) was well off best on the synthetic last time. Ran very well the start prior on the turf at Hobart and back to that surface today is well worth another chance. GEEGEES ACE (3) wound up strongly at Hobart last time and has since trialled well. Turf winner who will be hard to hold out. MISS LYRA (5) gave a sight from the wide gate last time and can go close again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Dissalto.
