Good pace with Balsamico, Angel Number and Shonan Raffine prominent. ANGEL NUMBER (10) is the horse to beat despite finishing fourth at Nagoya last start, beaten five lengths when near the top of an open market. Her profile is still strong: she won here two runs back as a short odds-on favourite, has six wins and five places from 21 starts at Nagoya, and reunites with a jockey who has been aboard for five wins. TERUKEN LANDLER (6) brings the sharper last-start result, having won a 3yo+ B1 at Nagoya by two lengths as favourite, so he is the most obvious danger if he holds that level. SHONAN RAFFINE (3) was sound in fourth in a 3yo+ B1 last week and gets weight relief, though her overall winning record keeps the assessment measured. AKATSUKI LOTERIE (9) went closest last start, beaten half a length, and his Nagoya record is excellent, but he was beaten as favourite and profiles slightly more as a place anchor.

His distance record is respectable, but the recent form has to turn around sharply before he appeals as a genuine threat. |

The run prior was less convincing when fifth as a well-supported favourite, beaten nine and a half lengths behind Sister Nebula. She is race fit, gets weight relief at 53kg and should race handy, making her a solid winning chance if she sustains last-start improvement. |

The class drop is useful, but she is unplaced at the distance and must show more second-up to convert this into a serious winning case. |

He has a prior win at the distance and the stable-jockey profile is strong, putting him right in the race if he repeats that performance. |
