Race 11 1200m Track: |

Slick pace with Dujac finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. CLEVER BEN (2) sets the standard through consistency and proven Mombetsu 1200m form, with four wins and seven places from 14 starts at this track and distance. She was beaten four lengths as an odds-on favourite last time, so there is a query, but her previous two-length win over Golden Seeker reads strongly for this. DUJAC (5) is the main threat after going under by just under a length to Satono Frey, and his Mombetsu 1200m record keeps him right in the contest despite one poor run two back. PORICKEY (1) has place substance, having finished second two runs ago before a solid fourth behind Satono Frey, though Dujac had his measure last start. UNIVERSAL LOVE (6) is improving off a close fourth, but the distance record is still a concern.

PORICKEY
HIDEKI KAKUGAWA 3YO BAY COLT 57.0KG Finished fourth to Satono Frey at Mombetsu last start, beaten just under four lengths after settling rearward and starting near the top of betting. The better guide may be his previous second here on fast ground, when beaten half a length by Ayasan Jolene after finishing strongly. Dujac had his measure last time and the trip remains a query, but his place profile is sound. |

CLEVER BEN
Fuyuki Igarashi 4YO DK B FILLY 56.0KG Placed again when third to Iide Heroine at Mombetsu last start, beaten four lengths after being sent out an odds-on favourite. That was below market expectation, but it followed a two-length win here over Golden Seeker when also well fancied. Her track-and-distance record is a major strength, with four wins and seven places from 14 attempts, and she remains the benchmark if she rebounds. |

MORIYAMA TAKEHIRO 5YO CHESTNUT MARE 55.0KG Has finished second last at her past two Mombetsu runs, most recently beaten just over eight lengths by Craft King after having the right run and offering little. She was also unwanted in the market when beaten six and a half lengths by Ayasan Jolene the run prior. Past track-and-trip wins give some context, but current form leaves her with a clear task. |

KUNIO HIMORI 4YO BAY FILLY 55.0KG Resumed with a sixth to Iide Heroine at Mombetsu, beaten five and a half lengths after looming briefly but failing to go on with it. Her previous run was a seventh in a 3yo+ C1 here, also beaten five and a half lengths, although she did work home fairly from a difficult position. The track-and-trip record is useful, but recent finishing effort must improve. |

DUJAC
NOZOMI ONO 4YO BAY GELDING 57.0KG Yuji Hasegawa Gave a bold sight at Mombetsu last start when second to Satono Frey, beaten just under a length after being gathered in late. That was a sharp lift on his previous seventh behind Geist Segen, where he was near the top of betting but weakened badly after leading. His two wins and three places from 12 starts at this track and distance are solid, and he looks a serious winning chance if he sustains the effort. |

UNIVERSAL LOVE
JUNJI TANAKA 3YO BAY FILLY 55.0KG Fujiko Mizukami Ran an improved fourth to Craft King at Mombetsu last start, beaten a length and a half after being kept safe near the top of betting. Before that she was seventh in a 3yo Maiden over 1800m at Niigata Dirt, beaten just over seven lengths after only working home evenly. She is still winless from seven and unplaced in three at this distance, so the minor-money case is stronger than the winning one. |

SOL NACIENTE
MASAHIRO SAITO 4YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Carrot Farm Co. Ltd. Finished fifth to Satono Frey at Mombetsu last start, beaten just over four lengths at generous odds after settling rearward. The start prior was weaker again over 1600m here, when sixth to Alba Sole and beaten just over eight lengths after making no impression late. He has some overall winning record, but recent form says he needs a sizeable lift. |

KIMINONAWA ORYO
HIROAKI SAKURAI 3YO CHESTNUT FILLY 55.0KG Kazuyoshi Urano Backs up after a sixth in 3yo COND grade at Mombetsu last week, beaten just under five lengths by Siamese as a well-supported favourite. That was disappointing given she had won a 3yo+ C3C4 here the start prior, scoring by a length and a half from Meresankh as odds-on favourite. The latest run is the concern, and she must recapture that earlier level quickly. |
