Strong tempo assured with Daiwa Curren City, Akano Heya and O Shin Sora rolling to the front. DAIWA CURREN CITY (1) gets the nod in a race built around lightly raced last-start winners. Her debut win at Ohi had substance, as she sat just off the leader and quickened to beat Talitha by a length, and she again carries 51kg from the inside barrier. O SHIN SORA (7) was more dominant on raw margin, winning by six lengths as odds-on favourite and beating Chord Eleven with plenty in hand, so he is the obvious danger if he repeats that debut level. LUCKY COLOR (8) comes through an eight-length Ohi win as favourite and has improved sharply from his debut fourth, though he profiles more as a strong place threat than a clear top pick. RIKEA CHA CHA CHA (9) was solid when second to Friend Tonnerre but has a distance query and still seeks a first win.

That was a clear lift on her debut seventh over 1600m here, where she was unwanted in the market and beaten over 14 lengths by Peptone O. She is fitter now, but the latest placing still needs a sharper winning edge. |
