Strong tempo assured from Highland Rahy leading the charge. HIGHLAND RAHY (5) looks to secure a soft lead if he finds the front from a good draw without any early pressure. He nearly stole it fresh last season before being collared late and this looks another set-up where he will take plenty of pegging back. DAZZLING FIT (1) resumes from the pole position for his first Happy Valley run and that draw is a big advantage. A couple of encouraging trials suggest he is forward enough, and with Zac Purton in the irons, he won't be far away. ROMANTIC GLADIATOR (3) is a progressive 3YO who finished second over this course and distance last campaign. A pair of trials have brought him along nicely and he looks ready to fire. WROTE A NEW PAGE (4) changes stables and has a strong record over this journey, winning 3 of his 4 starts. He will go forward from the wide gate, and is worthy of each-way consideration. POPE CODY (2) ran home strongly over 1800m last time and can figure in the top 3 here.
