OHI   16 Sep 2026

GOING: S

Race 1 1400m

Track: SOFT

Solid tempo with Talitha leading from Reve Dahlia and Chatoran. TALITHA (6) brings the cleanest profile after a debut second at Ohi over 1200m, beaten a length by Daiwa Curren City after holding a slender lead and conceding late. She has a five-week gap to overcome and now goes to 1400m, but the debut effort gives her the strongest starting point. ROVANIEMI (2) is the clear danger after producing a sharp last-start win here over 1200m, scoring by three lengths from Akano Heya despite starting at long odds. The concern is whether that improvement holds at 1400m after a poor run two back. REVE DAHLIA (7) already has 1400m form, finishing second to La Vague on debut, and her light weight keeps her in the mix. YAMANO SHINGEKI (3) has placed twice from four starts and was third here last time, though he must improve again over the extra ground.

NAOYUKI MATOBA
2YO  CHESTNUT  FILLY 51.0KG

Was well held when sixth at Ohi over 1200m last start, beaten over 14 lengths after having many lengths to make up and never looking likely. The start prior produced a third placing here, but she was still beaten over 14 lengths by Lucky Color. She is race fit, lightly weighted and has placed at this track, yet the move to 1400m asks for a clear lift against sharper profiles.

2YO  BROWN  COLT 54.0KG

Made a sharp turnaround at Ohi last start, winning over 1200m by three lengths from Akano Heya after picking up strongly in the straight, despite being at long odds. That was a major reversal from his ninth here two back, when beaten over 20 lengths by Shanghai Yoshino. He stays at Ohi and the winning rider remains, but the rise to 1400m is the main test of whether the improvement is repeatable.

2YO  CHESTNUT  COLT 54.0KG

Improved into third at Ohi over 1200m last start, beaten four and a half lengths by Friend Tonnerre after settling back, and the market had him near the top of betting. His Mombetsu run prior was better than eighth reads, beaten three and a half lengths after getting a long way back and finishing respectably. The extra 1400m is untested, but his placing record keeps him in the minor-money picture.

Showed more when fourth at Ohi last start, beaten just under four lengths by Pod Madeira after leading, although she was unwanted in the market. That was a better performance than her previous last at this track over 1200m, when beaten over 15 lengths by Kyoei Akagi at long odds. She can race handy and carries 51kg, but still needs to turn that improved effort into something stronger.

NISHI YUYA

Yukiharu Shimada
2YO  BAY  COLT 54.0KG

Finished seventh at Ohi last start, beaten five and a half lengths by Pod Madeira after failing to quicken, and he was again sent out at big odds. His third here the run prior came when beaten eight and a half lengths by Go Pal, so the placing still carried a margin. He has placed once from three attempts at this track and distance, but needs a sharper closing effort to threaten.

KAZUMA HASHIMOTO
2YO  DK B  FILLY 54.0KG

Returns after five weeks off a sound debut second at Ohi over 1200m, beaten a length by Daiwa Curren City after holding a slender lead and fighting hard before being claimed late. That first run came when only an outside chance in the betting, so there is natural improvement to come second-up. The rise to 1400m is the query, but she brings the most convincing recent form to this 2yo COND.
6
KEITA NISHI
PINK, BLUE SIX SPOTS, Green cap
7 2 REVE DAHLIA
KEIJI NAKAMICHI
2YO  CHESTNUT  FILLY 51.0KG

Debuted with a solid second at Ohi over 1400m, beaten a length by La Vague after closing nicely into a placing in a small field. That gives her direct distance evidence, and she gets in with 51kg again for her second race start. The exposed form is still thin, so she has to confirm it against a couple with stronger claims, but she has the right profile to land in the placings.
