NAGOYA   16 Sep 2026

GOING:

Race 1 1400m

Track:

With little in the way of early speed Misty Purple may well find the front. JUNE SMASH (10) is the one to beat after working home evenly for second at Nagoya last week, beaten three lengths by Lilii Borea, and that followed a much improved fifth when beaten three and a half lengths by Win Madeira. He is still a maiden, but his latest form reads as the most reliable profile in this field. MISTY PURPLE (4) brings the sharper winning performance, having beaten G T Fukufuku by three lengths here after being near the top of betting, though she has to confirm that improvement after a poor run the start prior. MEISHO VALKYRJA (2) also arrives off a Nagoya win and is building the right pattern, with her light weight another plus. GOD SURE WIN (7) has a prior Nagoya win but must rebound sharply from two plain runs.

Kept on from a rearward spot when fifth over 920m at Nagoya last start, beaten just over eight lengths by Win Madeira at long odds. The run prior was weaker, finishing eighth behind Ardent Eye and beaten over 16 lengths after being unwanted in the market. With no placing from four starts at 1400m, he needs a clear lift to become more than a fringe hope.

Built nicely into form before scoring at Nagoya last start, working into the race and beating Elfaris by a length at generous odds. She had been strong late when third to Win Emblem the start prior, so the win was backed by a positive lead-up. With one win and one place from two runs at this track and 52kg again, she profiles as a genuine winning chance if she finishes off in the same manner.

Tailed off when ninth behind Go Go Mango at Nagoya last start, fading late after going around at big odds. Before that he was sixth to Aulani, beaten nine and a half lengths after settling rearward and again finding little market support. Still unplaced from 21 starts, including three attempts at this track and distance, so a major form reversal is required.

Turned her form around sharply at Nagoya last start, winning by three lengths from G T Fukufuku after being near the top of betting and extending clearly late. That was a strong response to a previous fifth behind Goofy when beaten out of sight and unwanted in the market. Seigo Tsukamoto stays aboard after a one-from-one record with her, and she looks a major player if that latest rating holds up.

Tracked the speed but did not quicken when eighth behind Go Go Mango at Nagoya last start, beaten seven and a half lengths at generous odds. She was also fifth to Ardent Eye two back after conceding a huge start and running on only fairly. The maiden record remains the concern, but four placings from nine starts at 1400m give her a realistic minor-money shape.

Conceded a huge start and was never involved when last behind Hidegami Tiara at Nagoya, beaten over 17 lengths at long odds. His previous fifth behind Heavenly Sky was more encouraging, coming from an impossible position to be beaten four lengths. He has a Nagoya win in the book, but recent evidence says he must produce a much sharper finish.

Comes here with a clear recent-form warning after being never competitive and beaten out of sight behind Go Go Mango at Nagoya. He was also well held by Ardent Eye two starts back after leading and dropping out alarmingly. A prior Nagoya win and the class drop keep him in the conversation for exotics, but he has to rebound significantly to threaten the main chances.

Finished last and beaten a long way behind Go Go Mango at Nagoya last start, with no clear excuse offered by the run. Her previous sixth to Ardent Eye was also safely held, beaten over 10 lengths after leading. A past Nagoya win and the third-up stage offer some context, but she remains unplaced from three starts at 1400m and must improve sharply.

Ran a more competitive fifth behind Go Go Mango at Nagoya last start, beaten four lengths after settling back and going around at long odds. The start prior was weaker, finishing seventh to Ardent Eye and beaten over 12 lengths after offering little late. She has won at Nagoya, but is unplaced from two runs at 1400m, making her more a place hope than a confident win play.

Worked home evenly for second at Nagoya last week, beaten three lengths by Lilii Borea after being near the top of an open market. His previous fifth behind Win Madeira was also sound enough, beaten three and a half lengths at big odds after travelling within range. The maiden record is the obvious knock, but current form and Junki Mochizuki's strong track profile make him the runner to beat.
