Race 8 1500m Track: |
||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
|
A race that lacks early pressure on paper. HO O SANSAR (8) has the most persuasive recent profile for this C6 over 1500m at Nagoya. He was beaten a head as a heavily supported odds-on runner here last start, and that followed a three-length 3yo+ C1 win over Rock A Hula Dancer, so the substance is there despite the narrow defeat. RIKO CRUSADER (5) is the main danger after closing from well back to finish fifth, beaten just over two lengths, and she has already had the measure of Mischmasch in a recent Nagoya clash. MISCHMASCH (9) brings a genuine closing third behind Cool Sherry and has consistent place form at this track and distance, though the lack of a win remains the reservation. MEISHO ISSHIN (6) is more a place-driven threat, having worked home fairly at his past two without quite landing a telling blow.

ALLURING SORREL
Akiko Okita 5YO CHESTNUT MARE 55.0KG Insel Racing Co. Ltd. Finished fourth to Cool Sherry in a 3yo+ C8 at Nagoya last start, beaten five lengths after settling rearward, and that was similar to her fourth behind Bellefont in a 3yo+ C9 two back. She owns one win and six places from 26 starts at this track and distance, which keeps her in the place conversation, but being unplaced in all 21 starts in the past 12 months limits confidence for the win. |

GIESSBACH
FUJIGASAKI KAZUHITO 5YO CHESTNUT MARE 55.0KG Masamichi Hayashi Has a better record at this course and distance than recent form suggests, with three wins and one place from 16 attempts, but the latest evidence is plain. She was second last behind Cool Sherry in a 3yo+ C8 at Nagoya, beaten over 11 lengths after getting too far back, after being well held as favourite behind Pachira Sweet. She can improve, though others bring stronger current form. |

ASPRO GAIA
TSUGIO HARAGUCHI 4YO GREY FILLY 55.0KG Comes here off consecutive last-place finishes at Nagoya, most recently behind Grace Charmant in a 3yo+ C7 where she was beaten a long way and weak through the line. The previous run behind Neo Alitheia was not much better, beaten over 16 lengths after coming under pressure late. A past track-and-trip win is noted, but she must show far more resolve. |

LOVE ME ERE
Akiko Okita 5YO BAY MARE 55.0KG Was well beaten behind Grace Charmant last start, finishing sixth in a 3yo+ C7 at Nagoya after a moderate final effort, but her prior third behind Bellefont reads much better. That run came at big odds and she was beaten only a length and a half after being run down late. She has placed once from four tries at this track and distance, so minor money remains realistic if she rebounds. |

RIKO CRUSADER
KOICHI CHIBE 5YO BROWN MARE 55.0KG Returns off four weeks after a much better fifth behind Lillian First at Nagoya, beaten just over two lengths despite being unwanted in the market and asked to make up plenty of ground. That was a clear lift from her ninth behind Mont Saint Freesia two back. She has two wins and four places from 26 starts at this track and distance, and the recent edge over Mischmasch strengthens her winning case. |

MEISHO ISSHIN
KESATOSHI SAKURAI 6YO BROWN HORSE 57.0KG Yoshio Matsumoto Worked home soundly when sixth to Cool Sherry in a 3yo+ C8 here last start, beaten five and a half lengths at long odds, and his prior eighth behind Lillian First was also fair without threatening. The class drop and winning rider back are useful enough, while previous meetings with some leading chances have been mixed. He profiles as a genuine place hope rather than a firm winning push. |

TAGANO POSTMAN
ISAO NISHIKIMI 4YO CHESTNUT HORSE 54.0KG Ryoji Yagi Picked up nicely in the straight when fifth behind Cool Sherry in a 3yo+ C8 at Nagoya, beaten just over five lengths, after a sixth behind Bellefont where he was never a winning hope. He is a track-and-trip winner, but the overall record of one win and two places from 30 starts tempers the appeal. Having been beaten by Mischmasch recently, he needs improvement to trouble the better chances. |

HO O SANSAR
HIROYUKI IMAZU 4YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Yoshihisa Ozasa Went within a head of Haru Note in a 3yo+ C9 at Nagoya last start, having been heavily supported into very short odds-on territory and lengthened nicely after tracking the speed. Before that he beat Rock A Hula Dancer by three lengths in a 3yo+ C1 here. With one win and two places from four starts at this track and distance, plus a strong record with Seigo Tsukamoto, he sets the standard. |

MISCHMASCH
TETSUYA INOUE 4YO BAY FILLY 55.0KG Kazumi Yoshida Produced a better run when third to Cool Sherry in a 3yo+ C8 at Nagoya, beaten three and a half lengths after looking out of contention before finishing strongly. She had been seventh behind Lillian First the run prior, beaten just over four lengths after failing to finish it off. The place record here is solid, but she is still winless from 27 starts, so that remains the key reservation. |

JUSTY LUCK
Isao Hattori 4YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Was second last behind Grace Charmant in a 3yo+ C7 at Nagoya last start, beaten over 16 lengths at big odds despite working home fairly from a long way back. The start prior over 920m was weaker again, beaten over 18 lengths behind Gold Letter. He is unplaced in six starts at this track and distance, so a sizeable form reversal is required. |

FRANKIN ROSE
MANABU KURACHI 5YO BROWN MARE 55.0KG Finished eighth behind Grace Charmant in a 3yo+ C7 here last start, beaten over 14 lengths at big odds with only a fair finish. Her previous run was also well below the mark, second last behind Swing Boy and beaten over 13 lengths. She has placed three times from 17 at this track and distance, but current form leaves her with plenty to find. |

BLACK BEAT
SATORU SETOGUCHI 4YO DK B HORSE 57.0KG Isao Nakanishi Came from well back with a decent finish when ninth behind Grace Charmant at Nagoya last start, but he was still beaten over 16 lengths and never likely to feature. Two back he was second last behind Pachira Sweet, beaten over 18 lengths after being unwanted in the market. A track-and-trip win is a positive, yet the recent margins make this a demanding assignment. |
