SAIKAN SANYU (1) sets the standard after returning with a dominant six-length 3yo COND win at Ohi, where he was well backed and had Little Devil well covered. His two-from-two record at 1400m is the key strength, and the inside barrier gives him every chance to repeat the dose. RIKO BLUE EYE (2) is the main danger on current form after charging home to win over 1200m here, although the move to 1400m is the obvious test given his track-and-trip record is only one placing from three attempts. BELIEVE AND RUN (10) was beaten a head by Vulture Star last start and brings the most reliable all-round profile, with six wins from 23 starts and a perfect place record at this course and distance. WING WIND (9) arrives off a 3yo+ C2 win and is honest enough to keep the better chances working.
