Teruken Lentil and Pectoral will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. PECTORAL (1) has the most reliable recent profile, with two runner-up finishes in 3yo+ C1 grade at Nagoya and both efforts suggesting he is ready to win after being close without quite sealing it. SHINE MONOLITH (5) is the main danger on consistency, having finished third to Nike Iris last start and fourth to Chako World the run before, though he still has to turn the tables on Pectoral from their recent meeting. MEISHO MISS ICHI (9) brings the upside of a last-start win, albeit by a nose at big odds, and must prove that spike was no one-off. BIG PIQUANTE (4) is more of a place prospect, improving to fifth last start after a plain prior run.

PECTORAL
HIROYUKI IMAZU 5YO BAY HORSE 54.0KG Silk Racing Co. Ltd. Has put together two strong 3yo+ C1 seconds at Nagoya this campaign, most recently beaten two lengths by Nike Iris after being run down late. He was pipped by Bio Max the start prior as a well-supported favourite, so the knock is simply that he has not put one away lately. Races handy, is third-up, and drops into C8 with the recent form to take beating. |

TERUKEN LENTIL
HIROYUKI IMAZU 5YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Was second last behind Haru Note in a 3yo+ C9 here last start, beaten just over seven lengths after offering little late. That followed an even poorer effort when sent out favourite and beaten out of sight by Bellefont. His track-and-distance record and returning winning rider are positives, but the current form leaves him with a sharp turnaround to find. |

ADVANCE AUTHEN
TETSUYA INOUE 4YO GREY HORSE 56.0KG Norihide Kubota Finished ninth behind Bomboniere in a 3yo+ C1 at Nagoya last start, beaten over 12 lengths at big odds after never making headway. The start prior was no better, finishing second last to Yumemi and beaten over 18 lengths. He has placed four times at this track and distance, but remains winless from 21 starts and needs a major form reversal. |

BIG PIQUANTE
KATSUYUKI IMAZU 5YO CHESTNUT MARE 53.0KG Improved to fifth behind Bomboniere in a 3yo+ C1 here last start, beaten six lengths, though she was unwanted in the market and only fair late. Her previous run was a plain ninth to Yumemi, beaten over 16 lengths, so the recent profile is mixed. The class drop and low weight help, but she shapes more as a minor-money runner than a genuine win anchor. |

SHINE MONOLITH
Akiko Okita 4YO DK B HORSE 57.0KG Terumi Yoshioka Worked home evenly for third to Nike Iris in a 3yo+ C1 at Nagoya last start, beaten just under three lengths at long odds. He had also been close enough when fourth to Chako World two back, beaten just over two lengths, so the form is holding up. Pectoral had his measure a couple of weeks ago, but the class drop and track-and-distance win keep him firmly in the mix. |

FUKUCHAN FUKUMEI
NOBUYUKI HONNA 5YO CHESTNUT MARE 55.0KG Yoshiaki Fukuda Was eighth behind Haru Note in a 3yo+ C9 here last start, beaten just over six lengths after giving away too much start. The run prior had more merit, a sixth to Lillian First in 3yo+ COND grade when beaten just over three lengths. She has won at this track and distance, but her rearward pattern leaves little margin for error if she is to threaten beyond a place. |

HAZUMU RHYTHM
SHINICHI IDEUE 4YO CHESTNUT HORSE 57.0KG Yuto Taniguchi Has been struggling badly, finishing tenth to Bomboniere in a 3yo+ C1 at Nagoya last start and beaten over 14 lengths after never looking likely. Two back he was last behind Yumemi, well beaten by 21 lengths, and the market has been firmly against him. A past track-and-distance win is noted, but his present form makes this a demanding assignment. |

M'S ORFE
ISAO NISHIKIMI 4YO DK B FILLY 55.0KG Kenzo Mototani Dropped out to finish second last behind Bomboniere in a 3yo+ C1 here last start, beaten over 15 lengths after giving nothing late. The run before was far better, when second to Chako World and beaten half a length at big odds, also finishing ahead of Shine Monolith. That peak run gives her a case, but as a 28-start maiden she must prove she can repeat it. |

MEISHO MISS ICHI
NORIYUKI UEMATSU 4YO BROWN FILLY 55.0KG Yoshio Matsumoto Bounced back sharply to win a 3yo+ C1 at Nagoya last start, getting over Rock A Hula Dancer by a nose after settling back and finishing over the top. That was a major turnaround from her previous tenth to Ho O Sansar, where she was beaten over 16 lengths. The win came at big odds, but she stays at 1500m and must be respected if that lift is sustained. |

OH BRAVO
KAZUO FUJIGASAKI 5YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG K.Kyoei Finished seventh behind Bomboniere in a 3yo+ C1 here last start, beaten over 10 lengths after being unable to make an impression. His prior eighth to Yumemi was weaker again, beaten over 16 lengths at long odds. Two wins at the Nagoya 1500m show he has handled the setting, but the current evidence points to others being stronger. |

FAINT LIGHT
TORU ARAMAKI 4YO CHESTNUT FILLY 53.0KG Was sixth behind Bomboniere in a 3yo+ C1 at Nagoya last start, beaten seven and a half lengths and only fair through the line. Her previous third to Chako World was much stronger, beaten just over half a length in an open market, and that run also reads well through Shine Monolith. The light weight and class drop suit, but she profiles as a place chance first. |
