NORWEGIAN PARK MILE 1600m

Track: SOFT 5     Out 3m

Expect a genuine pace with plenty of speed engaged. FASTDEELDUN (5) fought on gamely for third fresh up at Arawa Park 15 days ago, and will be a lot sharper second up. He will want more ground than a mile soon enough, but can still put in a sharp effort here. On top. HAKKINEN (1) finished third fresh up, and then was a beaten favourite in his next couple of starts. The blinkers are replaced with the visor-blinkers, and despite drawing a wide gate, he is expected to be hard to hold out. BETHANY DEE (12) made up for an unlucky run in her penultimate start with a tough but comfortable victory at Te Aroha last time out. She steps up to a mile and can repeat the dose. THE NOMAD (2) put the writing on the wall with a game effort for second behind a smart type at Otaki nearly 3 weeks ago, and he will be hard to hold out again. Follow your money. WHAT A YARN (3) tried hard and was not far away when fifth at Pukekohe 2 weeks ago. He is another with each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bethany Dee each way.
