GOING: G(4)

BARRIER REEF POOLS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1100m

Track: GOOD 4   Rain (Max: 36)   Rail: +1m Entire Course.

Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Purosangue. THAT'S AN EXTRA (2) quickly found her better form beaten 1L at Dalby. Came hard from back in the field and impressed. Has the outside gate but has the blinkers on for the first time is proven third-up. The one to beat. ELEANOR NANCY (7) resumes for the Currie yard and is sharp fresh. Was spelled off a narrow defeat in an Open 3 at Rockhampton and that more than stacks up. She can use an inside barrier and a bold return is likely. KINGSLAND (3) deserved his CL2 win here and then came back and was plain. He's been freshened 49 days and kept up to the mark with a near miss in a trial here. Maps for a soft run and he's a chance to bounce. HEROIC CHIEF (1) is third-up and the veteran would be a hope if he put his best foot forward. DUBIOUS SIX (4) is better than the form line suggests and will also be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with That's An Extra.
