EXPECTANT (4) finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 4 lengths when seventh in a 1300m contest at Toowoomba two weeks ago. Has the ability to put the recent run of form behind him. BASIL'S BOW (8) improved last time out, finishing 0.7 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1400m at Goondiwindi after being in contention on the turn. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to figure in the finish. UNLEASH (3) turned things around last start and got the job done by 0.7 lengths over 1400m at Goondiwindi. Nicely placed to find a top-three spot. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Never Give Up.
