Only a small field with Casdaemon likely to find a comfortable lead. STAINLESS STEEL (3) just missed two back at Inverell then tackled a $50k maiden at Coffs Harbour last start and did a good job to finish third, passing a couple in the run home. Huge drop in grade today and if he holds that form from Coffs a long-awaited maiden win is likely. CASDAEMON (1) followed a couple of minor placings with a disappointing effort over today's trip at Gunnedah last time out. On-pacer who is getting deep into the prep so there is not likely to be improvement at this stage. Still a player in this modest affair. BRAVALATANTE (6) had a five-week break before her modest effort over 1000m at Gunnedah recently. Untried beyond six furlongs. Each-way only. KASUMI (5) ran a better race to finish midfield last time out. One for the exotics. Vancouver four-year-old debutant TYCANNAH (4) is one to monitor for betting support. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stainless Steel should be too good for these.
