A strong gallop is likely with D's Venture and Mieno Strong taking up the running, closely attended by Saint Kuya and Tasting. MIENO STRONG (2) settled handy then ran on well on debut last start to finish second over 1800m at Fukushima. Jumps from a good draw so he will prove tough to beat. SAIMON CHARIOT (9) was ridden quietly then made some inroads and finished 3.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1800m at Hanshin two weeks ago. Steps up in distance today. Solid challenger. LORD MERVEILLE (10) is a two-start maiden who returned last time and finished fourth at Fukushima over 1800m, beaten 5 lengths. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration. CLARITY SOUND (12) has not raced since his debut back on October 12 when he finished seventh over 2000m at Kyoto. Likely improver who can feature in the finish.
