Strong tempo assured with Celsius Star, Rue De Royale and Excess rolling to the front. RUE DE ROYALE (4) looks well placed second up. He's stuck on the 1 win from 19 starts but has run well in some much better races, resuming at Ballarat with a solid third placing over 1100m in this grade. Second up last time in he beat home all bar group-class King Zephyr. Gets to 1200m from a good draw here in what looks a fairly winnable race. SWIFTIE HARRIET (11) came across the border from SA and won well at Ballarat last time, coming home too well with the 51kg. Gets in fairly well again here and can be charging at them. MYTEMPTATION (2) was disappointing at Cranbourne last time when ridden back from a wide draw. His form prior was rock solid and rates well in this, look for improvement. LITTLE COINTREAU (6) resumes, now with the Charlotte Littlefield yard. Not many improve them off Joe Pride but he's good enough to win this, watch for him late. MISS ICELANDIC (3) was better second up and warrants respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rue De Royale to win.
