HONOR MISSION (10) made up for a narrow defeat in her penultimate start with a tough win by half a length third up from a spell at Te Aroha nearly 2 weeks ago. Her future is over these sorts of trips, and she can take the next step immediately. HIGH COUNTRY (1) set the pace and fought hard to hold onto third at Pukekohe a fortnight ago, and has been placed in 3 of his 4 starts over this trip. He is overdue for another win. OVERDRAFT (2) did not fire over this trip in his penultimate start, and was running on over a mile at Whanganui 3 weeks ago. He is down in class here, and his trainer won't be here unless she thinks he is a winning hope. Stick with him on an each-way basis. THE TRENDSETTER (11) stepped up to a middle distance for the first time at Pukekohe 2 weeks ago and fought hard all the way to the line to finish runner-up by a short-head.
