Elson Boy and Catoggio should set a strong tempo. CATOGGIO (4) raced without luck over the Melbourne Spring and finds an easier assignment on his home track. Went under narrowly two-back at Caulfield, then faded late from the wide draw when fourth in the LR Testa Rossa at Caulfield. Has a fitness edge over these and will prove hard to catch. PLUNDERING (2) beaten for early speed on resumption before closing late when fifth over 1100m at Rosehill. Best form is second-up and gets out to his preferred trip. Winning chance. BARTOLF (6) was a month between runs when an eye-catching second over 1300m at Rosehill in a high rating contest. Likely to go back early and be ridden for luck. Top-three player. HELLBENT ON YOU (8) underrated mare who came from last on the turn with a well-timed win over 1200m at Warwick Farm in BM72 class first-up. Rawiller sticks and clearly come back in peak condition. HOUSE OF CARDS (13) raced without luck first-up when third over 1250m at Canterbury. Expecting a good prep and stays in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Catoggio will prove hard to run down.
