Strong pace from Justice Warrior and Daring Fellow matching motors with Whispering Rupert close at hand.
DARING FELLOW (3) won here over this trip on debut then travelled on the pace and just went under over 1200m at Gosford last start. Pulled up lame on that occasion which is worth noting. Expecting a return to his best today over a bit more ground. ISLA NEGRA (6) has made ground without posing a threat in her two runs this time in work, the latest effort a fourth at Hawkesbury over 1300m. Should be peaking now and the application of winkers by Team Hawkes suggests this is her target. FEDERAL RESERVE (2) followed a couple of strong efforts with an overdue maiden win last start over this distance at the Beaumont track. Progressive three-year-old trained on track. Worth following. OCEAN TSUNAMI (7) came from the clouds to just arrive in time on debut recently over 1200m at Scone. Hard to hold out over more ground today with that race experience on board. JUSTICE WARRIOR (1) has placed two from two here at this distance and should be cherry ripe at the third run back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Giving Daring Fellow another chance.
