CLEVER TREVOR (6) recorded a strong maiden win over 1160m at Turffontein Standside last time, getting there by 1.1 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and he can go on with it. CHIEFTAIN'S SHIELD (8) is in top form, most recently recording a win by a neck over 1400m at Turffontein Standside to make it two in succession. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Expecting a bold showing. MIGHTY EAGLE (3) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 1.75 lengths over 1600m at Vaal. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. DECEPTION PASS (2) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 1600m at Vaal. Good enough on his day and can play a prominent role.
