Pace genuine with Fireman booting up to lead. MAD GALE (9) wasn't far away on debut last start over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt, finishing second and beaten 3.5 lengths. Sure to improve and can get off the mark this time. FIREMAN (1) was lining up for just the second time last start when fifth over 2000m at Niigata, beaten 5.5 lengths. Has the speed to be prominent from this nice gate. Looks the one to beat on his debut performance. SHOOTING GUY (5) turned in a moderate debut over 1800m at this track on August 3 when he was safely held in fifth, 9 lengths from the winner. Open to plenty of improvement. Shapes as one to consider. BAOBHAN SITH (2) missed the placings on debut then improved last start but found a couple better over 1600m at Niigata, beaten 7 lengths. This looks a good race for her and she is one of the key runners.
