Should be a keen tempo with Shonan Someday, Heart Meteor and Naglfar prominent. MIRAGE KNIGHT (10) turned in a fine effort to win by half a length at today's course and distance when first-up from a spell last start. Steps up a level but he is capable of another big run. HEART METEOR (2) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 1800m at this track, getting home by a neck. Meets a stronger field but she is up to the task. NAGLFAR (14) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 5 lengths away in sixth over 2200m in the G2 Kyoto Shimbun Hai on May 10. Has scored first-up from a spell before. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. One of the main contenders. SHONAN SOMEDAY (7) raced on the speed and dug deep to score by a nose at today's track and distance when resuming from a spell last time out. Likely to be there at the finish again.
