SEHR SCHNELL (7) was successful last start over 1800m at this track, getting home by 2 lengths to make it six wins in a row. Winning rider Norifumi Mikamoto retains the mount. Nicely placed to add to the outstanding run of form. HIRO SHIGE JACK (9) is a distance specialist who improved sharply on his 11th two starts back at Urawa with success over 2000m at Kawasaki three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 4 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Meeting a deeper field this time but he can go back-to-back. LAND MAX (3) was okay last start when fourth over 1500m at Kawasaki, beaten 9 lengths. Hard to beat in this suitable race. ROSE PERIOD (4) last raced on July 21 when beaten 5 lengths into fifth at Urawa over 1400m. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
