Looks to be plenty of pace with Meanie and Scion battling for the lead. LARADO (2) debuts for a metro yard and has looked sharp at the trials. Jumps from the inside gate and this is a winnable assignment. MEANIE (8) led and missed a whisker at the Sunshine Coast and then went back and disappointed. She was likely galloped on and best to forget. She's back after 20 days and the blinkers are on. Draws inside and has a handy 2kg claim. Shapes as the best of the raced. LUCKY ARTIE (3) has switched from a HK yard. He was a big trial winner here and has been gelded. The betting will be key. Ditto with INVINCIBLE CHOICE (1) debuts and has been gelded since he jumped out. Has an awkward gate but may have good ability. MISHANI FLASH (4) found a place first-up at Ipswich over the short course. He gets his chance in this lineup but still has to demonstrate he can run a strong 1000m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Larado if the betting indicates stable confidence.
