Expecting a moderate pace headed by C'mon Mate and Tartana. TARTANA (2) carries genuine appeal emerging from two recent city runs. Races well on her home track and gets a timely rise in trip. With a no excuses draw is right in this despite a weight rise. ORTHIE’S BOYS (5) faces a stiffer test but has continued to step up to recent challenges. Freshened for this with a nice weight turnaround. C’MON MATE (1) finds a more favourable draw but is yet to win one on his home patch over a solid career. Suited in this grade and just needs an improving track to deal in. WEBEJAMIN (7) is always a threat but rarely takes top dollar. Handy fresh horse placed in both previous tries at this trip. SUPER SUGOI (6) worked them over as a big winner at this track last start. Recent tick over trial was a good one and despite a class rise should fire home late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tartana win.
