JOIN TAB RACING CLUB OPEN 1580m

Track: SOFT6     Out 6m to 1000m, Remainder Out 9m

Genuine pace with Ears Back taking up the running ahead of Master Marko and Riviera Rebel. TUMUCH (1) was beaten by a nose in a strong field on the poly track in his penultimate start, and then won by a nose on the same surface here 9 days ago. His record on the turf is just as good, and as long as the track is not too wet, he will be the one to beat again. STONYBRECK (5) led up and was only just cut back by the top pick last time out. He is even better off at the weights this time, and with the right run, he can turn the tables. CORK (4) ran a much better race for second here 3 weeks ago, following on from an unlucky run in the Winter Cup before that. She is capable on her day, and can have the last say in this. KING OF THE CASTLE (6) just battled in the Winter Cup 4 weeks ago after a solid effort for fifth before that when resuming from a spell at Oamaru. This is the right race for him, and at the weights, he can figure in the top 3 at odds. MASTER MARKO (7) was stuck in the wrong part of the track last time out and is worth another chance. Each way value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tumuch will have to lump a big weight, and King Of The Castle is one for odds.
