Moderate tempo headed by Darth Invader. REGAL SURGE (3) beat only one home on debut, but that was in a city race at The Valley when only beaten 1.5 lengths. Put away after that and has trialled boldly in preparation for the return. The addition of a tongue tie could be a telling gear change. CALL ME EDDY (1) made an encouraging return when finding only one better but was never a factor back in trip second-up. Rises to 1205m here, which looks a more suitable scenario. SYMPHONITE (9) obviously took great benefit from the only run of the debut campaign with a first-up third placing when beaten less than half a length. That was on this track, which is a plus, but does have a tricky wide gate to overcome. DARTH INVADER (2) doesn't know how to run a poor race and likes to put himself on-speed, which should ensure he is given every chance again. POSITIVE IMAGE (11) looks the best of the first-starters off the jumpouts, particularly the second placing two back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Regal Surge to win.
