GOING: S(5)

LEISURE COAST FRUIT MARKET & DELI CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400m

Track: Soft 5   Clear (Max: 15)   Rail: True.

Solid tempo anticipated with Tessy Tee and Angels Cry leading the way. SAMARELLE (5) builds wraps into this after a smart debut provincial win. Bred to lap up the extra ground on offer and gets the ride with your eyes closed draw. Can keep winning. TESSY TEE (6) continues to feature as a support actor but hard to knock her latest run at this track. Slightly back in trip from a low draw stakes another strong claim. STAGE LEGEND (3) is yet to find much market love in three runs from a spell in genuine races. Looks all set to improve back on a bigger track. DAMASCUS CALLING (1) is in real deal form of late and is a proven weight carrier. Poise and pounce draw with a senior rider keeps him involved. Throw in GREYGENTA (9) at a price. Her most recent run was better than the numbers suggest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Samarelle win.

The race before that sat on the pace when 2nd of 9 at Sapphire Coast Super Mdn on July 27 over 1200m, on a slow track; head behind Brooklyn Lights with 58kg at $2.60. Obviously a lot harder and the ratings say he won't be competitive.
