Moderate tempo with Miracle Mickey leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. MCMURDO (11) settled well back at this course and distance last time but did find the line nicely to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Will drift back but is sure to prove tough to beat. MIRACLE MICKEY (5) was comfortably accounted for when sixth last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. That followed a good first-up win at this circuit. Has the class to return to the winner's list. BLUE OF WIND (10) stuck on well last start to finish second over 1400m at Urawa after showing good early speed. Nicely placed to go one better. ALMA VIVA (7) really dug deep to salute by 1.5 lengths three runs back at Kasamatsu before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Expected be in the finish.
