Early Fusion, Demon Award and Acrophobic to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. CHERRY ROSE (6) was last seen 36 days ago when narrowly beaten in the Rockhampton Newmarket. She's back to her best and is well-placed to win. EARLY FUSION (15) just missed in the Newmarket at Mackay and is holding the form. She races forward and has solid each-way claims. Ditto ACROPHOBIC (10), who went close in the same race and will be better for it. He maps for the run of the race and deserves plenty of consideration. The speedy DEMON AWARD (11) has the numbers but has to skip over from the car park. He always puts in and will go close if things work out. SPEED LEGEND (2) missed the hat-trick here in Open grade and will be better for it. Wiggins' sticking is a positive, and he's in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Cherry Rose.
