The trio Lim's Saltoro, First Accused and War Machine will set a strong tempo. Good little contest. WAR MACHINE (8) is a huge chance. He didn't have much luck first up in the Listed Hareeba Stakes at Mornington when well backed. Up to 1400m suits ideally now, he's very talented on his day. Just needs to overcome the wide draw. THE OPEN (12) was just fair fresh at Cranbourne but will be much fitter and did win second up last time in. Could be an improver at odds. REGAL VOW (13) is racing well and only needs to hold his recent form to be in the finish. LIM'S SALTORO (5) resuming from a break. Placed in latest jump-out at Moe. Opened last campaign with a win at Kranji All Weather over 1200m. Can feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to War Machine.
